
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
500g Self raising flour
375g White sugar
125g Butter
2 eggs
250ml Buttermilk
15ml White vinegar
83g Cocoa powder
5ml Vanilla essence
2.5g Salt
5.5g Baking powder
5ml Red food colouring
WHAT TO DO:

2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla essence and food colouring. Slowly add the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt until blended. Spoon the batter evenly into the greased cupcake liners
3. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes until soft on top. Once cooled, add icing and decorate with heart-shaped decorations
BASIC ICING FOR CUPCAKES
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
500g Powdered sugar
30g Butter, softened
5ml Vanilla essence
30ml Milk
WHAT TO DO:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and mix until smooth
